The college has established a state of the art research laboratory with the aid of the UGC funding on account of ‘College with Potential for Excellence’.
The research laboratory is equipped with sophisticated instruments such as HPLC, UV-Visible spectrophotometer, Water multi-analyzer. In very short time laboratory will be equipped with few more sophisticated analytical instruments like GC and FT-IR. Useful instruments like Microwave oven, Sonicator, Magnetic Stirrers (with hot plate), Centrifugation instrument, Hot Air Oven, Melting point Instrument Modern Fume Hood, High Vacuum Pump, Digital Electronic Balance are available in the research laboratory. The research laboratory is also equipped with some useful assemblies like preparative TLC assembly, solvent filtration assembly, fractional distillation assembly.
The research laboratory is also equipped with ‘HP Work Station’ for advanced and application based theoretical atomic and molecular physics calculations using ‘Quantemol-N package’ and ‘Lahey-Fujitsu fortran compiler’.
